Richard J. Patient
Richard founded the firm Richard J. Patient CPA in 1991. His experience in public accounting began back in 1986, after graduating from Bentley College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy.
Having worked in Public Accounting for 8 years, Richard then went to work for a Real Estate Development company for 3 years. As the Controller and Chief Financial Officer of the company, he received a wealth of knowledge and experience from being on the inside of a multi-million dollar operation experiencing the human side of business and not just seeing the numbers.
Richard’s area of specialty is servicing closely held corporations and individuals with their needs with accounting, tax consulting, planning and preparation, auditing, financial reporting and advisory services, financial planning and wealth management.
Richard has served on various local boards and committee’s including the Board of Directors of Sutton Youth Soccer, where he was also Treasurer and a Team Coordinator. Treasurer for then Senator Matt Amorello and Treasurer of the Ramshorn Improvement Association. Richard also served as a lecturer for the Internal Revenue Service Small Business Tax Workshops.
Civically, Richard is a member of the Worcester Area Chamber of Commerce, the Blackstone Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Lake View Neighborhood Improvement Association.
Professionally, Richard is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). Richard is also a NASD Registered Representative holding Series 6, Series 66 and Life, Accident and Disability Insurance Licenses, (securities being offered through
Money Concepts Capital Corp, member SIPC).
Residing in Sutton, Richard is married and with his wife Susan, has 3 children. |
